Tomorrow I meet with an organizational leader to assist in preparing to convene a number of learning sessions regarding a model of organizational planning I call “Deep Response Planning”.
This is a process to learn & practice “fast strategies” & is driven by my years of experience where organizations are not at all prepared for the need to address their pace of change; the volatility, the uncertainty, the complexity, and the ambiguity that they face has become a significant challenge.
Nassim Taleb states it well when he states “the modern pace of change in the world is lethal for any organization”. It is becoming harder to predict at what time and in what form threats & opportunities may arise. Unfortunately, at this time we know this once again.
This requires an organization to strengthen its culture to ensure that there is a focus on transparency, inclusion, contributing to the “whole”, learning & growing of all, & most importantly compassion to reduce organizational pain.
An advanced planning organization has a robust leadership culture where all four human intelligences (PQ, IQ, EQ & most importantly SQ) are fully & completely practiced because they have self- transforming mindsets.
What is your experience in this area of change?
