I wonder: What does an Organizational Leader need to address about what we now know during “a time of great disruption” and expectations post disruption. After many years of facilitating executive coaching & collaborating with faith, community, & private sector leaders, there are some difficult truths that we need to face! What we now know pre-covid is important to remind ourselves. So in preparation for the post-covid period, what do leaders need to think, and do differently?
Something has changed & the evidence now is clear: 1- there is a significant divide between leaders & their staff, re: expectations, motivations, & needs.2- there is an inward challenge leader are facing, a cognitive dissonance; the blind spots are extremely challenging if leaders ignore and fail to take action. There is so much evidence & research about how bad it has been for many organizations for many years.
This I know from my years of practice, both leaders and staff have been suffering, some quietly, others more vocally.
Now ask: what has happened during Covid which organizational leaders should take their learnings & adapt their thinking, acting & interacting? Returning to the past is a terrible idea for many
