I wonder: Based on my previous post, I want to give credit to the brave and courageous leaders whom I’ve worked with over the many years, who have taught me to understand what it would take as leaders to advance from Self #1(current)to Self #2(future best self).
They came from a place of wanting to look inward before they looked outward!
As leaders they wanted to understand their development, their mindsets as an adult, their mind traps (unaware of their impact), and most importantly, what have been their blindspots to better practice their leadership in collaboration with their followers. I believe they understood that it is the followers who create the leaders, and not the other way around!
Lastly, they came to a deep understanding of why followers wish to be led by them, and critically what a leader, as a teacher, needs to know about the best practice of leadership is, namely from the heart, mind and spirit.
