I Wonder…. If Managers have Friends at Work?

April 7, 2022 by Martin |

It is known that one of the most important markers for well-being is to have a friend at work. We know that relationships at work are really important as they ground people by building and sustaining deep trust. Trust, we know is the glue that binds people, their purpose, how it matters the most to them to the organization that they work for. However, do we ever ask the same question of our leaders and our managers and our team leaders. If not, we are making an assumption that these leaders do not need to focus their attention on building significant relationships of trust and respect with their peers, by being friends and relying on each other. Wouldn’t it be interesting to ask that question of our leaders throughout all their stages of development and linkage to our organizations.
